EMD CENTRE

• Received funds of Rs. 4.00 Lakhs from AICTE for establishment of EMD centre in Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trichy - 21 from AICTE under EMD Scheme
• An expert committee has been constituted for the activities of Entrepreneurship & Management Development centre under the headship of the the Principal, Dr. R.Senthamarai, M. Pharm.,Ph.D., Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trichy..
• A pilot plant setup was made for liquid oral formulation with all necessary equipments
• A one-day Seminar on “Entrepreneurship & Pharma Management” was organized for M.Pharm & B.Pharm (Prefinal & Final year) students of our institution. Four resource personals from various Pharmaceutical industries and one from nationalized bank delivered lectures on various topics. Ninety Two (92) students were benefited through this programme. All participants were provided with a certificate.
• One-day in-plant training was arranged to B.Tech (Industrial Biotechnology) students of Periyar Maniyammai College of Technology for Women, Vallam, Tanjore, for their elective subject 'Biopharmaceutical Technology'. Twenty Nine (29) students benefited through this training programme.
• Various guest lectures and workshops were organized for B.Pharm and M.Pharm students of our institution in co ordination with Training and Placement Cell of Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trichy - 21
